YouTube Trend Detector & Daily Brief Automation
The client needed an automated system to track YouTube trends across specific creators and receive regular insights on top-performing videos. The objective was to eliminate manual YouTube research and provide a clear, actionable daily or weekly brief highlighting the best content ideas.
Client
Challenge
Manually tracking YouTube trends was time-consuming and inefficient: Visiting multiple creator channels daily Reviewing dozens of new videos manually Comparing engagement performance across creators Compiling insights into reports This process consumed hours and often resulted in missed opportunities. The client needed a centralized trend detection and reporting system.
Goal
I built a YouTube Trend Detector & Daily Brief System using n8n that automatically monitors selected creators, analyzes recent videos, and delivers concise insights via email. Workflow Overview: Creator Input & Configuration User defines a list of YouTube creators or channels to monitor. Automated Video Fetching: YouTube APIs retrieve recent videos from each creator. Video metadata (views, likes, publish time, descriptions) is collected. Centralized Data Storage: All fetched videos are stored in Google Sheets for tracking and analysis. Trend Filtering & Analysis: The system filters recent uploads and identifies top-performing videos per creator based on engagement metrics and recency. Insight Generation: ChatGPT APIs analyze selected videos to extract: Content themes Title patterns Format trends Automated Brief Delivery: The top videos from each creator are compiled into a daily or weekly brief. Briefs are automatically sent via Gmail. Research Archival: Insights and reports are stored in Google Drive for historical reference.
